For Her šŸ”

Finding and trusting the meaning

I read a book a few months ago called The Greatest Salesman in the World. The young lad in the story is on a mission to learn from his master, who entrusts him with 10 scrolls that will provide all the wisdom he needs for his future business endeavors.

The lad hopes to become the greatest salesman in the world, but there's another incentive which inspires him above all. To win over a girl's wealthy family.

He wants to marry her. He fears they see him as a lowly peasant, unworthy of her hand in marriage. Until proven otherwise.

Her name is Lisha. As I read the meaning of her name, my inner voice instructed me to compare with your name. So I did, and of course, I learned it's the same meaning.

It means "God is my oath" or "pledged to God."

Is this another example of God confirming that we are meant to be? I believe so, it only feels right to believe so. Do you?

I lean into these moments, let it guide us along. Maybe that's my abundant optimism speaking, but that's how I live. You know that well!

We'll celebrate our love today, in our own spontaneous way spending the day together, the best way we know how. Our to-do list can disappear, along with our anxieties or worries, or desires to "thow" him into a frozen pond when he's actin a fool.

The next time we hold hands at church, I'll remember the meaning of your name, and I'll remind you too. Thank you for her, God.

You just finished a run, followed by your favorite royal honey cinnamon latte. If 2025 was a Vietnamese Valentine's, what will be the theme of 2026, my love?
